About STem Mista

The STEM Mista program was created to empower young men aged 14-17 who enjoy STEM subjects but may not be certain about pursuing those careers. We will show you the possibilities in STEM careers so you can get a better understanding and see who you can become.

The program is delivered over three days at our industry partners board rooms and at Universities.

We achieve the outcomes by teaching real life skills and introducing you to a variety of men in STEM, ranging from students at University, graduates, to successful men in their career.

The best thing is – they are just like you. This is how we empower boys to change the world by studying STEM.

"The STEM Mista program helped me gain an idea of what I want to study in university and what I need to do to get there.

Throughout the three-day intensive program, we were provided with the opportunity to meet successful entrepreneurs, scientists, engineers and more. The guest speakers told us about what subjects they did in high school and what courses they did at university. They shared why they chose their career paths, what they like about what they do, and about their university and workplace experiences.

The course also taught us many relevant transferable skills such as how to write a resume, how to dress and prepare for job interviews, strategies on goal setting, how to manage money, and problem solving.

What I liked most about the course was how relevant it was to my life. Almost everything we were taught I will end up using in my life.
